Born in Genoa, Italy, he began studying piano at the age of eight and later graduated with honors in Jazz Piano at the Niccolò Paganini Conservatory of Genoa, where he also pursued studies in Jazz Composition. His musical background spans jazz, classical, and electronic music, with a strong focus on arrangement, synthesizers, and digital audio workstations. He graduated in Chemistry.
In 2021 he was selected for Nuoro Jazz, receiving a scholarship and founding the Nugara Trio. With the trio he released: Point of Convergency (GleAM Records, 2023), The Last Question (GleAM Records, 2025), included in All About Jazz’s Albums of the Year.
The trio performed extensively across Italy and abroad, receiving awards at major jazz festivals and competitions such as:
From 2022 to 2025, he toured nationally with La Buona Novella (director: Giorgio Gallione, arrangements by Paolo Silvestri) with Neri Marcorè, a theatre production inspired by Fabrizio De André, performing in over 130 concerts in Italy. From 2026, he will participate in a new theatrical production dedicated to Gaber/Luporini, Mi Fa Male il Mondo, featuring four pianists. In 2025 he was selected for Playing Memories, a multidisciplinary creative project and docu‑series featured on RaiPlay. As part of the Playing Memories residency, he performed as a pianist in L’Aquila and Tbilisi and served as assistant tutor and arranger for the Nuova Tosca episode, creating arrangements for an unusual ensemble with electronic elements while preserving the core melodic and atmospheric identity. Both projects were documented by a television crew and are available on RaiPlay.
He has performed in: France, Spain, Georgia, Poland, Germany, The Netherlands, Belgium, UK. He is also active as a session musician across a wide range of projects worldwide. He collaborated with leading figures of the Italian music scene, including: Neri Marcorè, Giulia Ottonello, Anaïs Drago, Giovanni Falzone, Mirna Kassis, Max De Aloe, Giua. He also attended masterclasses with Furio Di Castri, Dado Moroni, and Richard Spaven.
